It is important that Nova Solo Furniture customers understand the terms and conditions by which we operate. The goal is to eliminate any possible misunderstandings between our customers and our company. All customers are required to read and agree to all Nova Solo Furniture terms & conditions prior to order confirmation.
FOB Conditions:
All goods purchased are purchased under FOB (Freight On Board) Port of Semarang, Indonesia conditions.
Moisture Control:
Nova Solo Furniture strongly recommends and uses as standard the following quantity of moisture controllers (dry bags) in each container:
20 Ft: 6 pcs.
40 FT DC: 12 pcs.
40 Ft HC: 14.
Unless the customer is reluctant to use this product (this needs to be confirmed on your order confirmation!), these dry bags will be put into the container. These moisture controllers (absordry) solve in part the common problems of excess moisture in a container. To learn more please visit www.absordry.com. This product will be charged to you at cost of 4.50 USD per bag.
Additions concerning Packing and/or Labeling:
Special requests concerning packing and labeling or other has to be written on your order confirmation in order to be valid.
Payment:
All agreements are based on our standard CAD (Cash Against Documents) payment terms. Payment is due in full within 21 days after the shipment date from Indonesia. The original documents will be automatically sent to you when we receive a transfer confirmation from your bank with the outstanding amount.
Alternative Payment Conditions:
If other conditions are agreed upon this needs to be noted in your order confirmation.
Outstanding Due Payment:
21 days after shipment date outstanding payments will be penalized with a 2% weekly interest. Containers will not be released before payment of total invoice as stated under CAD conditions. Additional costs like demurrage assessed in the destination port are for customers responsibility.
Teak Wood grade C:
Nova Furniture has a non-warranty agreement on all garden furniture made in teak wood grade C. The customer is advised that this is of lesser quality and can therefore lay no claims.
Damaged Goods (Claims):
All claims concerning damaged furniture needs to be faxed or e-mailed to Nova Furniture within 16 weeks after the shipment date of the container written on your invoice. For a claim to be valid, a preprinted claim form has to be filled out completely on each separate furniture item. (Also when the problem is similar ) A damage claim form is obtainable from Nova Solo Furniture's website or by fax or e-mail. Damaged furniture & packing must be kept for possible inspection until the claim is settled with Nova Solo Furniture. Access for inspection of the damaged goods must be available at any time until the claim is settled. A claim can never exceed it's FOB Indonesia sales price.
Nova Furniture cannot take claims into consideration if:
• Each separate claim is not accompanied by a clear and complete filled out claims form.
• Claims are made later then 16 weeks after shipment date.
• Customer has an outstanding payment due. (If payment is settled claim settlement will proceed.)
Transport Insurance:
Nova Solo Furniture advises customers to take an insurance offered trough forwarding agents for possible damage or loss during shipment. Nova Solo Furniture cannot take responsibility for damage incurred in transport.
(Water) Damage:
In case a container arrives to you damaged, or you expect damage to your container, for example extreme amounts of water in the container, a hole, etc., do not unload your container further but immediately call the local shipment forwarder to inspect the damage and ask for procedures.
Order Confirmation:
Nova Solo Furniture will start the production of your order when the order confirmation is returned signed & stamped. Delays in returning this order confirm may result in later delivery than confirmed on your Order Confirmation. Date of signature from Customer will be start date of production.
